Together, they form a Joint Research Unit. The JRU is governed by a Memorandum of Understanding, which establishes the CIT@Tyndall collaboration and allows some members of CAPPA to be located in the Tyndall National Institute (www.tyndall.ie). Tyndall is Ireland’s foremost ICT hardware research centre with more than 300 researchers working in photonics, electronics and nanotechnologies. CAPPA includes both fundamental research on the physics of semiconductor devices and industry-led research supporting regional and national companies.
